Promoting opportunities with YAAN

Trainee Business & Marketing Assistant Bradley Longford has addressed regional employers on social media as chair of the Young Apprenticeship Ambassador Network (YAAN).

In addition to his day job, Bradley is a proud apprenticeship ambassador and chairs the YAAN network in Yorkshire & Humber. Over the past few months, Bradley has engaged with employers in a range of industries and spoken to apprentices to encourage more people to become YAAN ambassadors. To keep the momentum going, Bradley has taken to social media with a call to action to engage with more employers in the region.

The YAAN is made up of current and past apprentices aged 18–26; its members aim to inspire future apprentices through a variety of activities. Becoming part of YAAN has wide reaching benefits for both apprentices and businesses including:

  • Giving back to the local community
  • Insight and opportunity to shape the future of apprenticeships
  • Harness the breadth of knowledge within the network
