We recently donated four laptops to TADS, a young people’s emotional wellbeing centre in Barnsley.

The second-hand laptops were donated by the Henry Boot Group after TADS requested help with their fundraising for new equipment. TADS work around the borough offering wellbeing workshops and 1:1 interventions in schools, providing emotional support to young people struggling with mental health issues.

The TADS mobile seasonal staff were reliant on paperwork for their school visits which needed to be transported to and from the office each day. This led to issues surrounding confidentiality and increasing travel costs. The introduction of the laptops now ensures confidentiality, decreases travel costs and enables staff to manage caseloads digitally. With the funds saved, the charity hopes to invest in a remote database to further reduce costs.

We were delighted to receive a donation of 4 laptops from Henry Boot. We work in schools for some sessions and to keep up to date with GDPR we wanted to be able to log all our contacts online for security. We had no way of purchasing such expensive items and spoke to Henry Boot who were very happy to help us in our mission.

The laptops have been invaluable and show our commitment to working professionally with children and young people. Thank you so much for your kind donation, it has really changed the way we work; we couldn’t have done it without you.
