Improving local charity car park

Our Barnsley site team recently helped Age UK Barnsley bring their office car park on Queens Road up to a safe standard.

The car park’s faded line markings made it difficult for people to park safely and potholes made the area hazardous. After reviewing the site, the car park was partially re-surfaced, white lines were re-painted making the area a much safer space and suitable for disabled access.

Age UK provides support to older people in a range of areas, including advice on services such as financial and legal issues, health and care, and wellbeing. The money previously saved to fund the car park will be used to fund loneliness, isolation and social interaction projects within the local community.

This generous intervention by Henry Boot Construction is a real boost for us as a local charity. It has made a massive difference to our well-used parking area, making it safer and easier to use for our service users, groups, volunteers and staff. As a result of Henry Boot’s generosity, Age UK Barnsley can make sure the monies saved can be directed to benefitting local older people. Thank you again.
