Henry Boot World Cup Winners

Our team has won the Henry Boot World Cup which took place at Goals in Sheffield on Thursday 26 July in aid of Dementia UK, our chosen charity this year.

Seventeen teams competed for the title, with each Henry Boot Group subsidiary having a team, as well as many external companies. Our team consisted of George Talbot, George Melland-Dale, Carl Jeffery, Adam Houlston and Alex Cairns with new starts from Andy Cope and Stephen Bayston.

After a triumph over BHP Chartered Accountants in the final marking we won, marking the second football tournament win this year, following recent success at the NPS Football Tournament. Fellow subsidiaries Henry Boot PLC and Hallam Land Management battled it out in the Wooden Spoon final, with Hallam Land claiming the win.

The tournament was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved, with healthy competition and friendly banter (with a touch of showboating) setting the tone for the day. Overall, the day was a huge success, with the event raising an incredible £5,365.80 for Dementia UK.
