To celebrate Giggle Week and World Laughter Day, we’ve sponsored Theodora Children’s Charity, who believe that laughter is the best medicine for children in hospital.
Theodora sends specialist trained performers, known as Giggle Doctors, to improve children's experience of hospitals, hospices and specialist care centres. By combining music, play, magic and storytelling these professional performers bring magical moments to brave children in challenging times. Our sponsorship has funded 10 Giggle Doctor visits for children in Sheffield Children’s Hospital. These visits make a huge difference to children and parents.
Henry Boot’s donation will help us continue to improve children's experience of hospital and will fund magical Giggle Doctor visits for 10 more poorly children at a time when they need it most. A more positive experience of hospital has been shown to aid recovery and our Giggle Doctor visits reduce stress and anxiety and increase opportunities for play for the children they see. We want to say a big Thank you to Henry Boot for their very kind support.
