This month, we teamed up with Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park to encourage people to get active as part of Move More Month. Move More is a Sheffield-wide strategy that is being delivered by partners across the City.
To make it easier for people of all ages to have an active lifestyle, we have sponsored the hopscotch near the 100m track at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. The hopscotch is one of many installed across Sheffield during June. The hopscotch was chosen as a nostalgic take on a classic playground game to keep the city active throughout Move More Month.
As part of the Move More Month, we also attended the Health and Wellbeing Day held at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield where the local community was given the chance to enjoy a range of free activities including table tennis, badminton, walking football, fitness classes, there was also a soft play area for children.
Move More have also organised an array of events, either for free or at a discounted price, to encourage people of all ages to get involved. Their aim is to make Sheffield the most active city in the UK by 2020, improving the health and wellbeing of everybody in the city.
