We have received a prestigious RoSPA Gold Award for our health and safety performance on the Royce Discovery Centre project in Sheffield. We have also received a company-wide President’s Award in recognition of 12 consecutive Gold Awards.
The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards is an internationally-recognised industry awards scheme that recognises and celebrates the highest health and safety standards. The awards will be hosted virtually this year on Thursday 9th September.
Our management of health and safety, leadership practices and workforce activity has led to us receiving a President’s Award; an award that is presented to organisations that achieve between 10 and 14 consecutive Gold Awards.
The project team at Royce Discovery Centre in Sheffield have been credited with a Gold Award. These awards are given to teams that ‘have achieved a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss’.
Richard Grafton, Head of Policy & Compliance said: "We are delighted to have won these prestigious RoSPA awards. This is testament to our site teams delivering high standards throughout our operations and the strong health and safety culture within the organisation.”
The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for health and safety worldwide.
RoSPA is very proud of the achievements of its entrants, and with this award we recognise the best of the best, those organisations that have gone the extra mile, raising the bar for the delivery of safety in the workplace. Employees, wherever they may be should be able to go to work safe in the knowledge that they will return home unharmed and healthy at the end of every day. Our RoSPA Award winners are central to achieving this goal.
