Career Café at Outwood Academy Shafton, Barnsley

Last week new Trainee Business and Marketing Assistant Bradley Longford visited Outwood Academy Shafton in Barnsley, alongside Adeana Raper and Catherine Spooner. The aim of the day was to give talks to year eleven students about a future career in construction.

Students attended for an insight of what the construction sector can offer them and how to find a job that would best suit them. The Henry Boot team spent time advising and informing students based on what each person was looking for in their future career.

The students were keen to gain more knowledge in areas that may suit them and find out how they would aim to achieve these goals.

All students were provided with Henry Boot Construction information packs to review. These provide students with a detailed overview of the industry and the job roles on offer, so that later they can begin their journey to pursuing the career of their choice.

It was a real pleasure talking to young people who want to pursue a career in the Construction Industry and to give them some guidance on career pathways.
