£1.6m development of an existing primary school to provide a new nursery and children’s centre.

Working during term time, temporary classrooms were constructed to minimise disruption to the children during the build. Close liaison with the Highways Agency, Derby City Council and local stakeholders ensured timely completion of drainage works adjacent to the main A52 trunk road.

The design featured a number of environmentally sensitive elements, including a green roof system and the use of sustainable timber products throughout.

Value engineering solutions were developed alongside the client prior to the construction phase. The use of the PPC2000 Partnering Contract promoted strong client / contractor relationships.
