Considerate Constructors Scheme

Performance Chart

Considerate Constructors Associate

At Henry Boot Construction, we are proud to support the Considerate Constructors Scheme, and from January 2011 our Associate Membership of the Scheme highlights our commitment to improving the image of construction in the UK. We have appointed CCS Champions on every site and have instigated 'Project Charters' on a number of schemes .

All projects over 8 weeks duration are registered under the scheme, and information is displayed for the public at the site boundary. We have received a number of national awards and certificates and are committed to the achievement of high scores on all of our sites.

We undertake regular schools visits with the CCS mascot Ivor Goodsite to help educate children about the dangers of construction sites and strengthen links with the local community.

What is the scheme?

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a national initiative, set up by the construction industry, to improve its image. Sites and companies that register with the Scheme sign up and are monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three main categories: the environment, the workforce and the general public (taken from www.ccscheme.org.uk).
