Access to clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Unfortunately, in some countries this is still not the case. To help change this, Framework Manager Stephen Green joined with family and friends to complete a hiking challenge around the Peak District to raise money for WaterAid.

The 25km hike began on Saturday 14 July at Hope Valley College, before passing through Edale and iconic locations such as Peveril Castle, Speedwell Cavern and Treak Cliffe Cavern and finishing back at the College. Stephen and his team completed the hike in six hours, a huge achievement when faced with steep climbs on an incredibly hot day.

So far, Stephen and his team have raised just under £1,000. You can still show your support by visiting Stephen’s JustGiving page to donate for this vital cause.

“I would like to thank everyone who has supported me in my trek across the Peak District. The hardest part of the route was from Edale back up to Hollins Cross, with no breeze, scorching hot conditions and with a very rough and steep climb. By the end we were very tired but made it to the finish in six hours and we celebrated alongside the other teams with a well-deserved beer and bun.”
