Wednesday 18 July marked the annual Henry Boot Construction Health and Safety Awards, as teams and individuals are rewarded for outstanding Health and Safety on site.

The awards were hosted by Managing Director Simon Carr who presented the winners with a trophy and gift voucher. The winners demonstrated consistently high Health and Safety audit scores, directors’ tours as well as general standards on site.

The Eastern Region Award went to Site Manager Jack Duncan and Project Manager Adam Houlston for their exceptional work on the Gladstone House extra care facility for Newark and Sherwood Homes. Safety scores were consistently high throughout the duration of the technically challenging project and standards remained high and morale was excellent throughout the project.

Project Manager Matt Hible and Site Manager Jonathan Scaife received the Civil Engineering Award for their work on the AMRC2 project for the University of Sheffield. The site routinely scored high, and issues identified were very swiftly dealt with.

The Young Achiever Award went to Trainee Technician Callum Baxter. Since starting with Henry Boot Construction, Callum has spent time in several departments and sites including the Better Barnsley Library project and has shown great aptitude, enthusiasm and a great work ethic.

“After achieving exceptional Health and Safety results across the business, there has been plenty of competition for these awards. All this year’s winners should be congratulated on their determination to achieve the highest levels of safety on their sites.”
