Henry Boot Construction were recently involved in a ground-breaking ceremony for the University of Hull’s Sports Development. As principal contractor, Henry Boot will start work on the new sports centre at the Cottingham Road campus as part of a £16m upgrade in sporting facilities at the University.

The new facility will include a 12-court sports hall, including international-standard netball courts and bleacher-style seating for 700 spectators. The existing sports hall is being refurbished to include a 120-station fitness gym, two aerobics/spin studios, a martial arts combat gym and enhanced changing facilities.

Works are expected to be completed by early Summer 2019.

“We are really pleased to see this project start on site and look forward to building on the great working relationship that we have with the University of Hull”

Tony Shaw – Operations Director Henry Boot Construction
