Henry Boot Construction had a very successful evening scooping four awards at this year's CIOB Committed to Construction in Humber and West Yorkshire Awards (CCIHWY 17).

The CCIHWY 17 Awards celebrate best practice, achievement and innovation across the region's construction industry. Henry Boot Construction won Team of the Year for the Wharfedale View Extra Care Housing scheme, Contractor of the Year and Health and Safety Award.

Trainee Site Manager, Lydia McGuinness, won Young Trainee of the Year. This is Lydia's second award in two months after scooping the Further Education Student of the Year award at the G4C event in March. Jack Robinson, Trainee Technician, was also nominated for an award and was recognised for being a finalist.

Commenting on her win Lydia said, "I am so proud to have won the Young Trainee of the Year award. It is all thanks to the great support Henry Boot gives to all its trainees and young employees."

"It was a great event and I was immensely proud of our achievements. I was especially pleased for the project team who delivered the Wharfedale View Extra Care Housing scheme in Yeadon as it was an outstanding project and all round team effort. A perfect example of real teamwork and collaboration from start to finish."
