Henry Boot Construction have completed the works on 38 Mappin Street, a refurbishment project for the University of Sheffield.

The refurbished University building now provides flexible teaching facilities and examination space for students located at the heart of the Engineering, Arts and Humanities area of the campus.

Internal works included the stripping out of existing internal partitions, floors and suspended ceilings. Mechanical and electrical integration was installed along with structural facade alterations. External alterations to the building included new windows and doors along with the replacement of an existing canopy.

The 33-week project commenced in June 2016 and is now open to staff and students.

Keith Lilley, Director of Estates and Facilities Management at the University of Sheffield, commented that the project was another successful collaboration with Henry Boot Construction Limited.

"It has been excellent to work with Henry Boot again following the successful completion of a number of projects over the years. The standards they maintain to support the University are of the highest quality and we are delighted with the results of this refurbishment."
