Recently, Henry Boot Construction has offered work experience placements to two students from Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School. James Wooller and Vineet Bhachoo (pictured with Lydia McGuinness, Trainee Technician, Henry Boot Construction).

James Wooller spent a week working at the Dronfield Head Office, spending time learning about the organisation and working in all departments.

Vineet Bhachoo enjoyed his week working at St Helena, a University of Derby development at Chesterfield, where he spent time materials scheduling, marking up drawings and completing the Daily Diary for site, as well as attending site with the Site Forman and Site Manager.

James Wooller said, “My work experience at Henry Boot Construction was great. It has made me realise what work is actually like! All the staff at the Dronfield office are kind and friendly and I hope that in a few years’ time, I have the opportunity to start my working career at Henry Boot.” Whilst Vineet commented, “I really enjoyed my time with Henry Boot and would like a career in construction.”

“During his time with us Vineet took the initiative to identify problems and devise solutions. His role required strong communication skills, and he has shown that he not only has these skills, but that he also has the ability to respect and cooperate with team mates. He has shown that he is a very intelligent person with a mind well-suited to the world of business and management.”
