Henry Boot Construction support Ashgate Hospice – 14/01/16

Ashgate Hospice

To show Henry Boot Constructions’ support for Ashgate Hospice, Site Manager Dean Briggs and General Foreman Carl Gelder visited to make a donation and get an understanding of the wonderful work that goes on there.

Ashgate Hospice is an independent registered charity that provides care to patients across North East Derbyshire. The hospice has a 21-bed inpatient unit, 16-place day hospice and provides a range of therapy and support services on site.

The hospice also provides a wide range of community-based care and support services to enable people to stay in their own homes for as long as possible. They do not charge patients for the services they provide, however it costs £8.5 million a year to provide these valuable services, of which over £6 million needs to be raised purely through voluntary contributions and fundraising.

“It was lovely to meet Dean and Carl. It was a pleasure to have shown them around, I could have kept them for hours showing and telling you all about the hospice. Thank you so much for coming in and also for supporting Ashgate Hospicecare.”
