Henry Boot Constructions’ Site Team, Adeana Raper, Employment & Skills Manager, and Lili McDonald, Business Apprentice, visited the Fox Valley, Stocksbridge Redevelopment site with pupils from Fir Vale School who are taking part in the Made in Sheffield Ambassador Programme.

Arriving on site, pupils were inducted and given an introduction to the Fox Valley, Stocksbridge project.  Pupils were split into three groups, one having a careers talk with a Q&A debate, the second group enjoyed a site tour and the third group getting a ‘hands on’ supervised plastering session.  All groups were rotated to allow each pupil to participate in the activities.

Fox Valley, Stocksbridge will deliver approximately 32 new retail, café and restaurant units along with high spec office space.  A new town centre car park and landscaping are also part of the development which is due for completion in Spring 2016.

“All the students enjoyed the visit, especially the “have a go” session in plastering and sent their thanks to the site team, in particular Rob Barkworth.”
