Henry Boot Construction has recently completed the St Wilfrid’s residential development project located on Queens Road, Sheffield.

The residence includes 20 self-contained one bedroom apartments which will be used by St Wilfrid’s to provide accommodation for the vulnerable and those without a home. Residents will be given up to two years to live in the apartments whilst undertaking classes at the day centre from Monday to Friday. After two years, St Wilfrid’s will assist residents in finding permanent accommodation to help them live independently, whilst receiving ongoing support from the charity. Each apartment comprises of a hallway, one bedroom, bathroom and a spacious living and kitchen area. Externally is a carpark, bike store and a recreation area.

In support of St Wilfrid’s, the Henry Boot team have organised and attended fundraising events, including a Three Peaks Challenge, food banks and the recent Bevox fundraising evening.

Henry Boot Construction’s Project Manager, Adam Houlston said, “As a local contractor it was a great pleasure and honour to have been involved in the successful completion of such a meaningful project within the heart of Sheffield’s city centre. Due to the desire, passion and commitment shown by all at St Wilfrid’s, a strong working partnership was formed with the project team from the start. The charity organisation works tirelessly to improve the lives of homeless and vulnerable people. St Wilfrid’s will always be a special place in the hearts of many.”

Kevin Bradley, Director at St Wilfrid’s Centre said, “I would like to thank Adam, Tom, Laurence, Gary and everyone on site for such a magnificent job. They were all stars in making our dream come true and a pleasure to work with. Henry Boot will always be part of Home at St Wilfrid’s which I am sure will become a flagship project for Sheffield.”
