NPS Barnsley Charity Golf Day fundraising success – 01/08/16

The annual NPS Barnsley Charity Golf day on 1 July 2016 has raised £6,520 for local charity, Barnsley Hospice.

The 18-hole golf tournament was held at Hickleton Golf Club in Doncaster, with 22 teams participating, each representing local businesses. Henry Boot Construction’s team was made up of Dave Pearson, Mark Bradshaw, Tom Marsh and Giles Boot, who were delighted to participate in the event.

After the tournament, the teams enjoyed a two course meal followed by prize presentations a raffle and a charity auction, of which, all proceeds went to Barnsley Hospice. Tom achieved seventh place in the event, with Giles and Mark coming 17th and 34th respectively.

Barnsley Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative care to local people and their families, with the aim of providing the best possibly quality of life for patients with life limiting illnesses.
