Henry Boot Construction’s Eastern Division has been awarded a project to build a new construction centre for Chesterfield College.

Chesterfield College is a highly successful and vibrant college based in North Derbyshire with an intake of over 8,000 full time, part time and HE students every year.

The 2000m2 construction and fit-out of the new East Block 1 facility includes new teaching and workshop space to house the College’s carpentry, joinery, painting and decoration departments.

The project will achieve BREEAM excellent and will include photovoltaic panels on the roof, cycle shelters, landscaping and energy saving equipment.

The 42 week project is due to start on the 29 September 2014 with completion due 20 July 2015.

“We are delighted to have secured this project at Chesterfield College.  Many of our staff and workforce were educated or trained here and this is now our opportunity to give something back to the learning community and encourage more apprentices and trainees into the industry”.
