Installation of Air Source Heat Pump at Castle Howard – 11/02/14

Castle Howard

Henry Boot Construction’s Renewables Division has just been awarded a contract to install an Air Source Heat Pump to Park Cottage at Castle Howard.

The Division will supply and install the pump to Park Cottage in Coneysthorpe, Rydale, North Yorkshire for Castle Howard Estates Ltd. Park Cottage is presently run on oil and changing to renewable energy will mean carbon free, sustainable energy.

The 4 week project will start mid-February with a completion of 14th March.

"Castle Howard wanted a sustainable energy solution to replace the costly, electric heating systems previously in place in the houses which are in an off-gas area.
“When the homes were deemed viable for air source heat pumps, we designed a system to improve warmth levels and minimise the environmental impact of each home."
