Henry Boot Construction’s Western Division completes Cundiff Court – 05/12/14

Cundiff Court

Henry Boot Construction’s Western Division has recently completed its fourth tower block refurbishment for Eastlands Homes, Manchester.

Cundiff Court in South-East Manchester was over-clad in a sensitive pallet of materials which included a terracotta rainscreen, aluminium cassette cladding and insulated render. Glazed balustrades and new windows were fitted throughout the entire block. Balconies were re-introduced along with large format sliding doors.

Residents at Cundiff Court are benefitting from a new ground floor community room, a refurbished laundry room, new landscaping, perimeter fencing and recycling facilities.

The old redundant heating system was also replaced throughout the block. Designed to reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and ultimately fuel poverty, Ecopod is a packaged optimised energy and controls system for multi-tenant buildings which provides highly efficient, safe and controllable heating and hot water for the residents.

“This project not only improves people’s lives, the improved thermal envelope together with new windows and new heating system also tackles growing fuel poverty”
