Henry Boot Construction starts the first phase of works at Ampleforth College in North Yorkshire – 10/04/14

Ampleforth College

Henry Boot Construction’s Eastern Division has secured the enabling phase of work at Bolton House, Ampleforth College.

Bolton House is part of the Ampleforth Abbey estate and is located in the grounds of Ampleforth College, a co-educational day and boarding school for ages 12 to 18. The college was founded in 1803 and is regarded as the country’s leading Catholic Benedictine independent school with over 600 students.

The enabling works will include asbestos removal, demolition and strip out works, and is part of a larger plan by Ampleforth Abbey Trust to complete ongoing necessary refurbishment at the monastery and school.

Works are due to start in April and are expected to take 10 weeks to complete.

"Having already completed a ASHP installation to a cottage on the Ampleforth Abbey estate we are delighted to announce our success on the first phase of work at Bolton House and look forward to working with the Ampleforth Abbey Trust on this project."
