Henry Boot Construction’s Eastern Division has started works on the Acre Mill project in Huddersfield, for Pennine Property Partnerships LLP.

The Pennine Property Partnership LLP is a joint venture between Henry Boot Developments Limited and Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

The first healthcare project to be delivered under the scheme is the redevelopment of Acre Mill, a listed wire mill which adjoins Huddersfield Royal Infirmary – HBC will deliver the refurbishment of the building to a shell specification for fit out at a later date.

The completed development will provide a new 56,000 sq ft centralised outpatient centre that is expected to serve over 200,000 outpatient appointments every year, and is due to be operational by mid-2014.

The Pennine Property Partnership LLP is an innovative collaboration between Henry Boot Developments Limited and Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.  The aim of the joint venture is to create healthcare facilities fit for the 21st century and also to realise the potential of surplus property assets to generate the capital investment required to deliver improved medical services for the Calderdale and Huddersfield area.

“The Acre Mill Development is a prestigious project which we are pleased to have secured. We have delivered a number of successful projects with Henry Boot Developments in recent years and look forward to delivering another high quality scheme for them.”
