Ministry of Justice Framework Contract Awarded – 16/05/12

Ministry Of Justice

Henry Boot Construction’s Western Division has just won a place on the prestigious MoJ Strategic Alliance Agreement Framework, a scheme that aims to deliver ‘better for less’ on prison and court projects over the next six years.

We will now be able to tender for works let under the North Region Framework for projects up to £10m, covering new build and refurbishment schemes across the Ministry of Justice’s entire estate.

The new framework replaces earlier the previous refurbishment framework, where we have successfully delivered over forty schemes in the last seven years.

To help them deliver a more effective service at a lower cost, the National Offender Management Service (NOMS), Estate Capacity Directorate, MoJ Estate Directorate, Her Majesty’s Court and Tribunal Services (HMCTS) and HQ Estate Directorate have merged to form a single Estate function.

The MoJ’s objective is to reduce the price it pays for construction works and services by a minimum of 9% year on year – the creation of this long-term framework and its benefits of security, knowledge development and the use lean construction principles is designed to help them achieve this.

“We are pleased to announce our success in securing a place on the new MoJ Framework – a lot of hard work was put in by all of the bid team and we look forward to continuing to provide high quality projects that meet our Client’s objectives time after time throughout the framework period.”
