CCS Awards Doncaster

Henry Boot Construction’s site teams are celebrating another successful year at the National Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards, picking up three Gold Awards and another two Runners-up to the Most Considerate Site in the UK.

We are the only construction company in the history of the Awards to receive three Runners Up three years running, and everyone at HBC is justly proud of their achievements.

Not content with his previous years’ successes, Site Manager Jonathan Watkins picked up two Gold Awards at this year’s ceremony, one for his work on the Tarran Bungalows project for Rotherham MBC and one for a Wimpey No Fines improvement project for North Lincolnshire Homes.

Both schemes received an overall score of 37.5 points and Jon was praised for his inclusion of residents and catering for individuals with visual impairments.

The other award winner was the Intake site for St Leger Homes of Doncaster - Site Manager Rob Barkworth and his Assistant Manager Ryan Spencer were praised for the high level of fundraising and community support, as well as having excellent site facilities.

With a score of 38 points from the CCS Monitor, the site was in serious contention for the Most Considerate Site but sadly just missed out – better luck next year!

“Rob, Ryan and Jon have all done exceptionally well this year and their commitment to strong community involvement and minimising the impact of their sites on the local area has been recognised at a national level. They should all be justly proud of their achievements.”
