Celebrating 125 years in construction – 21/11/11

HBC 125 Years Dinner

Henry Boot Construction joined the rest of the Henry Boot Group in a celebration of 125 years in business recently.

An evening dinner was held at the Cutler’s Hall in Sheffield and attended by over two hundred local dignitaries, local politicians and leading members of the business and construction sectors.

Simon Carr, Managing Director of Henry Boot Construction, thanked those present for their support over the years and shared Henry Boot’s vision for the future, including a greater focus on the use of sustainable and renewable technologies on construction projects.

Ex-Trade and Sports Minister Rt Hon Richard Caborn was the guest speaker and grace was said by the Dean of Sheffield, the Very Reverend Peter Bradley.

Over £4000 was raised in support of the Sheffield Children’s Hospital charity and signed Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday football shirts were raffled during the evening.

“It was great to see so many familiar faces at the event, and to celebrate the achievements of Henry Boot over the last 125 years. HBC is at the heart of the communities in which we work, and mantaining a strong local supply chain is a big part of our commitment to sustainable development in the region.”
