Kitchen Donated to Miner’s Welfare Club – 16/02/11

Brodsworth Miner’s Welfare Club

Henry Boot Construction has just donated and installed a new kitchen at Brodsworth Miner’s Welfare Club, to give the hall a new lease of life for community groups.

The Club is based in the Woodlands area of Doncaster, and is operated as a charity by its trustees.

After visiting the hall for a tenant participation event arranged by St Leger Homes, HBC were only too happy to help with the refurbishment, as they are working on a number of sites around the town.

The trustees hope to secure £1m funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to renovate the facade of the historical building, to keep it a focal point for the community.

“We are happy to work with local groups to do what we can to leave a positive lasting impact on the communities in which we work.”
