We have been awarded BIM Verification certification from BSI, demonstrating that the company meets the requirements of PAS 1192-2, the main standard for the implementation of Building Information Modelling. This shows our systems and procedures, developed to support the use of BIM on projects, are robust.

At Henry Boot Construction, we are delivering BIM on a number of projects. To achieve our commitment of using the principles of Building Information Modelling on every project, we have signed up to the NFB’s Digital Construction programme. This project is part funded by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and aims to develop and enhance the ways in which contractors and supply chains work collaboratively using BIM on live projects. The programme comprises over 2,000 hours of training and consultancy support and is delivered by the NFB’s partner organisation, Project Five.

Through BIM, projects will be built quicker, more cost-effectively and with less on-site clashes, with ongoing client benefits way beyond completion. We are committed to providing training and support for our in-house resources to develop the expertise and experience needed to raise industry standards and deliver improved project outcomes for our valued client base.

A key part of our BIM execution plan is ensuring our supply chain are capable of delivering BIM Level 2. Our success is built on the relationships we maintain with our supply chain and supporting them in meeting the challenges BIM poses is vital to ensuring we can deliver BIM projects successfully.

“We recognise the benefits that BIM can bring to our clients through more efficient project delivery and the efficiency gains we can achieve as a company. Achieving BIM Verification from BSI ensures Henry Boot Construction remains at the forefront of the industry improvement agenda as a member of the National Federation of Builders.”
